How this works

When. On the first trading day of each July, the screen runs on the numbers a reader had that day: the latest annual report whose year ended at least 60 days earlier, priced at that day's close.

Return. Every pick is held for one year with equal money, then the screen runs again. Split and bonus adjusted prices.

Limits. Price return only - dividends are left out, which understates high-yield screens. No brokerage, tax or slippage. Industry labels are today's. Companies that disappeared before today are not in the data, which flatters every result a little; a pick that stopped trading during its year counts at its last price. Past results say little about the next year. Not investment advice.

Data: NSE and BSE daily reports, company filings. Numbers only, not investment advice, not a SEBI-registered research service.AboutMethodologyFAQResearchContactTermsPrivacyDisclaimerUpdated 2026-10-03
