About MarketFriction
MarketFriction shows every company listed on the NSE and BSE as numbers you can check: daily prices back to 2006, quarterly and annual results, shareholding, splits and bonuses, bulk deals, surveillance lists, IPOs, insider and takeover-code disclosures, and the red flags in each company's own statements.
What makes it different
- Same-night results. When a company files its quarterly results with the exchange, the numbers reach its page the same evening, parsed straight from the official XBRL filing.
- What changed. One ranked feed of the day's company events: results swings, auditor and top-management exits, regulator actions, rating revisions, surveillance changes and big deals. See today's feed.
- Red flags. Ten checks on every balance sheet and cash flow statement, plus an F-score, so a weak spot shows before you read the annual report.
- Test an idea before you trust it. Write a screen such as
roce > 20 AND de < 0.5and see how its picks did each year on numbers that were public at the time. Backtest a screen.
How it is run
MarketFriction is built and run independently. It has no brokerage, takes no fees from companies and shows no paid placements. Everything is computed by our own code from exchange data and company filings; the methodology page explains each number.
It is a data service, not an adviser: nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell. Read the disclaimer.
